Your mugs will naturally develop a beautiful patina with use over time. However, if you would like to keep your mugs looking brand new, you will need to take time to care for them. The natural mixture of citric acid from your favorite concoction may keep the interior of your mug looking brand new, but it will leave the outside untouched.
Polishing is necessary to keep the mugs looking new. You can use citric acid as a polish (from fresh lime or lemon juice) or you can purchase Barkeeper’s Friend. Either product will work nicely to keep your Moscow Mule Mugs looking like you just purchased them.
